Welcome to Highland Golf Links, a partnership that brings together three superb golf courses - Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Castle Stuart Golf Links - and three nearby hotels in the Highlands of Scotland allowing the visitor to enjoy and explore this unique part of Scotland combining challenging golf and luxury accomodation.

With recent publicity from coverage of The Scottish Open at Castle Stuart golf in the Highlands of Scotland has never been more in vogue.

Royal Dornoch Golf Club

Dornoch Golf Club was formed in 1877, became Royal in 1906 courtesy of King Edward VII, and has always been operated as a private members club.

However, since the very beginning, the members and the people of Dornoch have realised the joy that their course gives to golfers and the value of the tourism to the area so have welcomed visitors ever since the first ball was struck.

The course is recognised as one of the finest in the world and in the 2011 Golf Magazine Top 100 was listed at Number 16.

Castle Stuart Golf Links

In its short time in existence Castle Stuart has simply gone from strength to strength gathering admirers from players and visitors and plaudits from golfing journalists the world over. In becoming the first Highland golf course to host a European Tour event it has been elevated to the status of "must play" and sits proudly alongside the links courses at Dornoch and Nairn.

Castle Stuart has been awarded many awards - 'Golf Course of the Year' by Golf Tourism Scotland and entered the Top Sixty in the Top 100 Golf Magazine list.

While the course has been conceived to be for the Highlands it is fast becoming a beacon reaching out to golfers throughout the world.

The Nairn Golf Club

Nestling on the shores of the Moray Firth this Traditional Scottish Golf Links Course was created from a Highland wilderness of gorse and heather, and tests the talents of professional and amateur alike. Founded in 1887, it is now one of the best courses in Scotland, and has hosted a large number of important championships.

The Nairn Golf Club has now been awarded No 9 in the definitive list of the Top 100 Courses in Scotland 2011.

"Nairn is a classic, traditional out-and-back links, and the opening half a dozen holes along the coast rival anything at more illustrious Scottish courses" said Jock Howard, commissioning editor at Golf World. "The putting surfaces are in immaculate condition and the variety of the examination never gets boring.  I can't think of anywhere I would rather be on a sleepy summer afternoon."
